Hearts and Bugs started with riding the bus to downtown Pittsburgh, pulling a cart of blank onesies & t-shirts over the Rachael Carson Bridge every beautiful Tuesday night to Artist Image Resources on the North Side where the access to silkscreen would enable a business to be born.
After successfully selling within the Belle River Artisan Market & seeing that other craftspeople would give selling in the Strip District a "go" but not return, Hearts and Bugs created, "Pittsburgh & Beyond", a place for others to sell their work at a reasonable consignment but not have to wrestle with standing there all day selling and trying to budget their time & table fees in.
